We currently have an opportunity for a Consistency Analyst at our Transportation Management Center located in Des Plaines, IL.


The Consistency Analyst is responsible for supporting the DSC/Customer partnerships by understanding the internal supply chain processes and business requirements of the customers. The person will develop operational solutions, provide supporting analysis and drive consistent practices across customer sites.


Position Responsibilities

Operations Management Support

  • Work with Operations’ leaders and the Sr. Manager to drive consistent operational processes and continual improvement across sites.
  • Monitor and drive performance metrics and best practices across the sites.
  • Use metrics to identify improper workflow and address it with the group or individuals that can improve the process.
  • Evaluate all available data and report on return-on-investment with initiatives, investments to the process, and improvements.
  • Act as the main point-of-contact for the customer with regard to operational issues and initiatives.
  • Participate in operational meetings and prepare, manage and distribute all operational metrics.

Project Management

  • Act as the project manager for key operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the Operations’ leaders, DSC Strategic Partnership team and all other DSC corporate support team members to ensure clear internal/external information flow.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the customer’s processes and procedures and how best to integrate them with DSC’s best practices.
  • Provide a DSC presence at customer locations and at the customer’s corporate logistics offices.
  • Coordinate with DSC leaders to provide input for Quarterly Business Reviews and Top to Top meetings.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of operations experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Experience with Excel, Google sheets, Google apps.
  • Audit and compliance experience, relying heavily on data for decision making.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage customer interface and all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Collaborative style with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
