Position Overview
The Warehouse Trainer 2 is responsible for providing classroom training to all newly hired
warehouse employees as well as retraining current warehouse employees as needed. The
Warehouse Trainer 2 must have the ability to work with different levels of learners and have strong
people skills. The trainer will have responsibility and accountability for running POP reports,
interpreting the data and following up with employees and managers. There will be defined daily
and weekly reporting responsibilities. The trainer will be responsible for training other warehouse
and clerical employees on various topics as necessary. The Warehouse Trainer 2 may be asked
to support training during a startup as a SCOUT Trainer.

Position Responsibilities

● Provides classroom training on Safety, Process Management, GMP, and EeTIME for all
new hires, following the New Hire Training Schedule
● Conducts Operational Assessments on Forklifts, Battery Exchange, and/or Propane Tank
● Provides Best Practices training, using the Primers, Videos, and Training Environment for
all new hires
● Provides site-specific training on Processes, Inventory / Quality Control, and other relevant
● Provides Best Practices cross-training for all warehouse employees learning additional
warehouse functions
● Prepare and organize all training materials required to deliver training
● Conducts monthly safety refresher training
● Conducts training for new HOT Trainers
● Supports HOT Training (Hands-On Training) for new hires, post classroom training
● Achieve Certified Trainer status by attending the Train-The-Trainer workshop
● Provide daily email to management on progress of trainees and other relevant topics as
● Provide a positive training experience to ensure the successful integration into DSC

● Maintain all training and observation records for all employees
Observations / POP
● Conducts all Post New-Hire Training Observations, 1-8 weeks after classroom training
Conducts all Learning / Try-Out Period Observations as employees are cross-trained on
additional functions
● Run POP reports on trainees, review daily/weekly to monitor progress and encourage

● Support pre-employment forklift assessments
● Support continual improvement activities and other internal process training
● Ability to work on various shifts and support other local facilities as needed
● Ability to operate forklift and perform loading, unloading, put away, replenishment, picking
and other functions utilizing several forklift types (i.e. sit-down, stand-up, reach, cherry
● Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Qualifications
● Strong understanding WMS, POP, and other DSC systems with the ability to utilize
● Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and use of a RF
● Ability to teach DSC Best Practices, safety polices and other operational processes
● Willingness to learn new systems as needed
● Must be a role model of DSC’s Promise to Employees and exhibit a positive attitude in
all interactions
● Must be a team orientated, self-motivated employee with strong organization skills
● Ability to direct and provide constructive feedback to various levels of DSC employees in
a professional manner
● Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication skills, both verbal and written
● Previous experience in a training role a plus
● High School Diploma/GED equivalent required. Some college preferred.
● Experience in large, fast paced logistics/ distribution environment
