Position Overview
The Operations Leader is responsible for leading a team of logistics managers and functional support personnel driving strong financial results for a warehouse or functional area within a warehouse. Establish and maintain a culture of positive employee relations ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently. Leading the effort to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Utilize appropriate management tools to drive efficient and effective results to meet or exceed budgets and goals. This is an off shift role with hours of 5pm to 1am.

Responsibilities

Operations Management
Manage all aspects of an operation or functional area within a facility. Provide operational leadership to achieve budgets, metrics and customer goals and expectations. Drive a culture of accountability by ensuring all policies, processes and procedures are adhered to in all situations.

People Leadership
Partner with Logistics Managers, human resources and corporate teams to establish a culture where employees are treated with respect, provided the resources to accomplish our business goals, and given effective feedback to accomplish their goals. Lead the effort to build a team of highly engaged employees committed to meeting or exceeding DSC and customer goals.

Information & System Management
Use all available data to manage the shift and / or functional area effectively. Develop a thorough understanding of customer contracts and / or customer systems and utilize the systems to meet productivity standards, drive continuous improvement within the operation and manage the day to day operations of the business. Provide information to the appropriate stakeholders to support the success of the operation.

Job Requirements

3 to 6 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
Bachelor’s degree required
Demonstrated leadership skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
