DSC Logistics is looking for a dependable and skilled Inventory Control Specialist at our Jacksonville, FL location.

Position Overview:

The customer specialist is responsible for performing research, reviewing and analyzing the inventory issues log, providing focus areas and/or areas of concern to building manager in timely manner. Responsible for working closely with the facility manager, all local inventory control team members, and other internal resources to ensure 100% accuracy of our inventory. Provide continuous improvement recommendations to safeguard the integrity of our customer’s product. Assign audits based on priorities within the facility. Conduct investigations, determine responsibility, and recommend corrective action as inventory issues are discovered.

Position Responsibilities:

Operations Management Analyze data, audit inventory locations, and ensure the overall accuracy and integrity of the inventory for one or more facilities is maintained. Provide ongoing analysis and monitor daily inventories at multiple sites to ensure discrepancies are identified and corrected in a timely manner. People Leadership Collaborate with the building manager, corporate resources and local inventory team to ensure all inventory related activities are escalated and resolved appropriately. Foster a participative and goal-driven work environment characterized by teamwork, partnership and accountability for achieving goals. Partner with appropriate resources to achieve the desired results of 100% accuracy.

Information & System Management
Responsible for a thorough understanding of the available systems to proactively identify inventory inaccuracies and resolve timely and efficiently while documenting and correcting in a timely manner. System management skills will be utilized through WMS and SAP and/or systems.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience and education required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) required
  • Experience working with WMS, SAP and/or other inventory control systems plus
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide recommendations based on analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills necessary
  • Ability to travel as needed
