We are seeking a Customer Operations Specialist to act as an internal and external liaison responding to inquiries, processing orders, handling customers, carrier and Logistics Center (LC) inquiries and complaints in a prompt, courteous and effective manner.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers by phone, email, or in person and receive orders or changes in service
  • Communicate issues with production to customer; ensure appointments and coding is correct in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Enter and communicate preset appointments, as needed by receivers
  • Notify customer of any missed deliveries, or production material delays; follow up notification when delivered
  • Get approval from customer on SPOT rates
  • Send customer / consignee daily reporting
  • May be required to be on call and work as part of a Saturday rotation

Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 years’ experience in transportation
  • Strong skills in MS Excel


  • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain Management
  • TMS experience
  • Google Applications experience
